With a range of stunning spaces and a surprisingly informal atmosphere, the Law Society is the perfect place for a party or a special dinner. We are able to host a wide variety of reception events, Christmas parties, private and corporate celebrations, fundraisers, gala evenings and more. Our magnificent rooms are well suited to dinners and banquets, with excellent table service, but work equally as well for receptions with inventive canapés, bowl food or a buffet. Event Spaces

The Common Room is an uncommonly impressive space, reached from the show-stopping sweeping staircase. It is large enough to host parties and receptions for up to 280 guests Graceful pillars of green marble draw the eye to Conrad Dressler’s celebrated Persian enamel frieze depicting human and divine justice, while mahogany panelling, 17th Century stained glass windows, and a peacock-tiled fireplace create an indelible impression.


Both regal and welcoming, the Reading Room is the picture of elegance. Graceful columns and a refined palette of blue, cream and gold create a charming backdrop for any event. Located on the ground floor, this spacious and versatile setting is ideal for canapé receptions, parties, or special dinners

We also have spaces ideally suited to smaller, more intimate dinners and parties, including the highly-flexible interconnecting three rooms of the Strand, Fleet and Bell Suite; the warm and peaceful Six Clerks Room; and  the distinctly dignified Old Council Chamber.

Located on the ground floor, the Reading Room is ideal for canapé receptions, seminars, or special dinners, and, with a license for civil ceremonies, it’s the perfect setting for a wedding of exceptional elegance.

Strand, Fleet And Bell Suite

This impressive suite of three interconnecting, fully sound-proofed rooms is ideal for meetings, presentations, receptions, and special dinners. Featuring cherry wood panelling and furniture, each inviting first floor room is flooded with natural light and overlooks the Royal Courts of Justice.

These light and airy rooms open into one large area, perfect for bigger conferences, or work equally well as individual spaces.

Old Council Chamber and Dining Room

The Old Council Chamber and Dining Room confers gravitas on the medium sized meetings or banquets to which it is so perfectly suited.

This private ground floor space, designed by Philip Charles Hardwick in 1857, comes with its own ante-room, bar and registration area. The double-height windows and signature blue and gold carpets help create a bright and beautiful room, while chandeliers, classic furniture, traditional wood panelling, and a beautiful ornate ceiling impart a regal heritage feel.

Six Clerks Room

The warm and peaceful Six Clerks Room on the ground floor is perfect for smaller events and intimate dinners or as a breakout space. It can seat delegates in theatre or boardroom style and is complemented by a useful ante-chamber at the rear, most commonly utilised to provide a catering area.

Its charming arts and crafts fireplace and feature wall of heraldic crests lend elegance and character to any event held in the Six Clerks Room.

113 Restaurant And Bar

A traditional 19th century space combines with modern furnishings and colour scheme to stunning effect in the 113 Restaurant and Bar. With its calm surroundings and relaxing atmosphere, this is the perfect spot for business or pleasure.

Though the restaurant is open to the public, areas can be reserved, or the entire space can be hired out exclusively.
