Following a recommendation from a member of their Sports and Social committee, Asta chose the Law Society as the venue for their annual Christmas party.
They wanted a venue that would feel special and lend a real sense of occasion to the evening. Naturally, the grand nature, history and reputation of The Law Society offered this and more and provided the perfect backdrop for an amazing Christmas celebration.
The evening began in the Reading Room with a Champagne reception around the beautiful 12ft Christmas tree, while a pianist played. After the reception, the party moved to the Common Room for dinner. Traditionally, Asta have chosen buffets for their Christmas parties, but for this Christmas’s event, they chose a sit down dinner to reflect the ambience of the venue and work with their black tie dress code.
In a room filled with festive touches, such as candles on the tables, red and gold crackers and beautiful centrepieces, guests enjoyed a three course meal. They began with a starter of port infused comice pear with chicory and braised chestnuts, followed by a traditional Christmas dinner of roasted bronze Copas turkey, with pork collar, stuffing, Brussels sprouts, caramelised piccolo parsnips and pencil carrots.
Showcasing our love for creating exciting new twists on classic dessert, we served Christmas pudding crème brûlée, with macaroon ice cream, for dessert.
After dinner, guests enjoyed music from a live band.
Following the event, the client received a great deal of positive feedback from their guests, who were particularly impressed by the organisation of the event and how special it felt.
“The team was incredibly helpful on the evening, ensuring that everything was in hand, especially with regard to our guests’ dietary requirements, and throughout the booking and organising process. They provided useful, speedy responses to any queries we had.
The venue was exactly what we had hoped for, and the event staff were really impressive. They were professional, extremely attentive, and responsive.
We will be recommending the Law Society and the team for any future events!”
